The Rich and Famous File Bankruptcy Too
Lenny Dykstra surrendered a smelly, wrecked Thousand Oaks mansion. His dubious investing strategy formerly touted by theStreet.com ubercriminal-at-large Jim Cramer.
Former CEO of InBank, Cynthia Grazian of Chicago, filed for Chapter 7.
Edra Blixseth, founder of the Yellowstone Club, once an exclusive haven in Montana for the absurdly rich, when there were more such folk around. Her home in Rancho Mirage is currently listed for $75 million. (The trustee who caught that case must be pretty psyched!)
Sinbad, famed tv star from 80s television also has not been spared. He filed chapter 7 recently.
Less than a year ago, Stephen Baldwin filed for Chapter 11 protection.
Add this to more noteworthy names from history:
1. Abraham Lincoln (filed when his grocery business failed)
2. Wally Amos (from Famous Amos cookies)
3. Walt Disney
4. Milton Hershey (of Hershey chocolate)
5. P.T. Barnum
6. Rembrandt
7. Mark Twain
8. Buckminster Fuller (the noted architect)
9. Stan Lee (the creator of Spiderman and other comics)
10. John James Audobon (noted aviphile)
Carly Fiorina Says Perhaps California Should File For Bankruptcy…
The aspiring California governor and former Hewlett Packard CEO, Carly Fiorina, suggests that California should not rule out filing for bankruptcy. Given the sad and sorry state of our State, she’s of course right.
Myself, I am hoping that the State also chooses to fix its Constitution.
